Review: Garnier Ultimate Blends Shampoo & Conditioner

Unfortunately todays review is (like my last review) not a very good one :(. I have seen a few bloggers rave about how good the new Ultimate Blends shampoo and conditioner by Garnier are and so when I saw it was half price in Tesco at only £1.94 per bottle I gave in a bought it in the coconut oil & cocoa butter. As you all know I love anything with a cocoa butter scent, so I had really high hopes for this.
As you can see from the picture I haven't used it a lot. Only once actually. I hated this. Hated it. Well actually I'll be a bit more fair...I hated the conditioner. The shampoo was ok. The smell of it is probably the only thing I like about it and even at that I feel for a shampoo and conditioner the scent could do with being a bit more powerful.
For the conditioner I felt it was so runny when poured on to my hand and I felt it didn't stick to my hair if that makes sense? Like it just fell off as soon as I applied it to my hair. It also never made my hair feel soft after rinsing what was left of it out. You know after you've rinsed out conditioner your hair feels soooooo soft and smooth? Well this didn't do that. So much so I applied it a second time and again it didn't do much at all.
My hair was still tuggy when I was brushing it, it actually felt like I hadn't used any conditioner at all.
I'm sorry to sound like a total moan but I was very disappointed. Using it once is enough and I can't bring myself to use the conditioner again. I'll keep them both though incase I run out of my other shampoo but for now it's back in the cupboard it goes.

Pros:
  • Smells good
Cons:
  • Expensive (when not on offer)
  • Conditioner didn't leave my hair feeling smooth/soft
  • Doesn't have a good consistency.

New Herbal Essences Dry Shampoo

Hello my lovelies! Todays post is about Herbal Essences new dry shampoo collection. I love dry shampoo as I don't like to wash my hair every day as it's not good for it so when I found Batiste dry shampoo I fell in love and bought like 6 bottles of it to keep me stocked up haha! When I saw that Herbal Essences had brought out their own range I was intrigued right away! I'm getting a bit fed up of Batistes one now so want a bit of a change.
The three products from left to right are Ignite my colour with a rose scent, Naked dry shampoo and Uplifting volume with a citrus scent.
I'm excited to try these so keep an eye out for a review :) xoxo

June Glossy Box 2014 - Summer Edition

Hey peeps, hope your Monday is a good one! It's time for my June glossy box! I received this the week it was despatched but I've been away from home so haven't had the chance to do a blog post on it so here it is now! :)
Before I start I just wanna say that I am getting more and more disappointed and I think it's time to unsubscribe for good. It's just annoying how this box and last box has makeup in it and I wont use it so it's just a waste. However, I am due a free box next month as I've collected enough glossy dots so there will be a July box and then we'll see :P.

Nailgirls - 3 in 1 base/topcoat & nail strengthener
"This new longer lasting top coat combines the perfect base and nail hardener in one easy to use product."
I don't own a top coat nail polish so this was quite good to receive although when I saw a nail polish I was quite disappointed as it wasn't coloured but hey ho it's good to have I suppose.
Application - " Apply the nail hardener and allow it to dry before applying your favourite colour. Allow that layer to dry before applying a final top coat."
Full size - £13.50 for 15ml                Shop at - www.nailgirls.co.uk

Got2b - Rise 'n shine soufflé
"Create stand-out styles with textured volume and silky shine without weighing your hair down thanks to this innovative, multi-benefit styling product. The jasmine infused fragrance provides the ultimate finish for unforgettable hair!"
This is probably what I'm most excited about. It looks like a strawberry moose yoghurt haha and it smells soooo good! I look forward to try this!
Application - "Rub a small amount of the soufflé between your palms, work through the lengths of dry hair and style as desired. For an extra boost apply a little extra to your finger tips and work into the roots, lifting as you style."
Full size - £4.07 for 100ml                           Shop at - www.superdrug.com

Teeez Trend Cosmetics - Beautiful Flat Stiff Brush
"This premium quality brush allows you to apply powder and cream eye shadow with ease. A make-up brush essential for your kit."
This will just sit in a drawer :( Don't get me wrong it's such a nice brush, so pretty :)
Application - "Dab the product and glide effortlessly and smoothly along the eyelid area. Clean the brush regularly to avoid product build up."
Full size - €19                                                Shop at - www.nelly.com

Roger&Gallet - Fleur de Figuier discovery ritual Shower Cream, Body Lotion and Eau Fraîche Fragrance
"Created by renowned perfumer Francis Kurkdijan, these fruit-floral and fig inspired scents allow your senses to take a break reminiscent of a walk through a Mediterranean garden."
These look really nice but just wish the samples were a bit bigger.
Application - "Cleanse yourself with the shower cream, replenish your body's moisture with the body cream and dab yourself with the fragrance for an all over irresistible scent."
Full size - Eau Fraiche £32 for 100ml, Body Lotion £13 for 200ml, Shower Cream £9.50 for 200ml.

So Susan Cosmetics - Concealer Quad
"Formulated with virgin marula oil, this compact quad can be used to cover minor blemishes and imperfections. It's lightweight formula makes it ideal for summer. To create a flawless looking complexion, use the quad as an all-in-one contouring kit."
Not for me :(
Application - "Dot over the desired area and blend in gently until full coverage is achieved."
Full size - £20                                                 Shop at  - www.sosusan.com

Wow you guys must think I'm a right moan haha! It's just I should be received products that I would actually use...isn't that what our survey is for? I understand that they can't make individual boxes for everyone but at least throw in a couple of products that I'd actually use! :P Let's hope my free box is a good one!

May Glossy Box 2014 - 50 Years Of Superdrug

Hey! If you're wondering what happened to my April glossy box post well I was a noob and lost my purse when I was on a night out so when the payment was due for that month I hadn't got my new bank card through so didn't have a method of payment to pay for it so I cancelled my subscription with glossybox. I told myself that I wasn't going to subscribe again since I've moved in with my boyfriend and now have bills to pay for but I couldn't resist!! Hahaha! So yeah, I subscribed again and now it's gone up to £13.95 a month which was a bit of a bummer but never mind.
I was excited to see that this month they were collaborating with someone, and that someone just happened to be Superdrug! In my last post I wrote about Superdrug being 50 years old and they had some products that were brought out specifically for it.
I'm not overly excited about the contents in my box as I received 2 make up items and I don't wear make up which makes me think they don't actually pay attention to the beauty profile they get you to fill out. However, there are 4 full sizes, 1 sample sized and 2 bonus samples. Anyways....here's what I got :)

Blowpro - After blow strong hold finishing spray
"Don't let the English weather make your hair-don't with blowpro's strong hold finishing spray. It conditions while it sets to provide you with a super woman-esque super-hold on your hair."
I'm quite excited about this one actually so can't wait to try this! This is a sample size.
Application - "Keeping the can 6-8 inches away from your hair, spray evenly acorss your style keeping the can in constant motion."
Full size - £11.99 for 283ml                              Shop at - www.superdrug.com

B. Complete Long-lasting Nail Polish
"B.Complete provides intense colour with a high shine finish and has a wide brush providing a smooth and quick professional finish."
Was very happy to see a nail polish in the box as I love nail polish but this colour has probably got to be the worst colour ever! I wont use this! I've already received one of these nail polishes and it was in a great pink colour and I loved it.
Application - "Apply two coats of your favourite colour over B. First Base Coat. Allow time to dry between each coat."
Full size - £4.99 for 8ml                                     Shop at - www.superdrug.com

Scholl - Velvet Smooth Overnight Mask
"This night mask hydrates for up to 24 hours to give you soft beautiful feet while you sleep."
Meh....I might use this :P
Application - "Apply and massage onto clean, dry feet before going to bed and leave to work through the night. No rinsing required."
Full size - £7.99 for 60ml                                   Shop at - www.superdrug.com

I Love Cosmetics - Strawberries & Milkshake Shinner & Shine Lip Gloss
"Feel scrumptious with a burst of fresh strawberries and smooth yummy milkshake."
Wont use this as I don't like lip glosses! It does smell amazing though!
Application - "Smooth on to add a shimmery summer look to your lips."
Full size - £1.29 for 15ml                                    Shop at - www.superdrug.com

Collection - Bronze Glow Mosaic
"Get an all-year round natural-looking tan with a sweep of Bronze Glow Mosaic. Add a sunkissed shimmer of colour to highlight the face and body and add contouring to cheeks and collar bones."
Will not use this such a waste :(
Application - "After applying your foundation base, sweep a bronzing brush over the powder and tap the excess on the back of your hand. Sweep the bronzer over the cheekbones, forehead, nose and chin for a natural finish."
Full size - £2.99                                                    Shop at - www.superdrug.com

Garnier - Oil Beauty Lotion
"Infused with argan, macademia, almond and rose oil the Oil Beauty Lotion helps replenish the skin with moisture and reinforce its barrier function to prevent it from feeling dry, leaving your skin feeling softer and silky-smooth."
This sounds really good so will def try this out although it's only a foil packet which will only last one try.
Full size - £4.99 for 250ml                                   Shop at - www.superdrug.com

Ghost Fragances - Eclipse
"Capturing the warm energy of the sun, Ghost Eclipse evokes feelings of carefree abandon. Get lost in the moment and lift our spirits with this intoxicating and addictive fruity-floral fragrance."
This smells sooooo nice! I love Ghost perfumes!
Full size - £33 for 50ml                                         Shop at - www.superdrug.com

March Glossy Box 2014 - Beauty Blossom Edition

I'm just gonna start off this post with I think this months glossy box is rubbish! :( Sooooo disappointed! After a great box last month this one is so so poor! I got 2 perfume samples which I think shouldn't count as a product and I also received 2 make up items which I don't use as I don't wear make up!!! I don't see why we have to fill out the survey to find out what we like and don't like and then they end up sending totally opposite things! Ugh I am annoyed.....anyway here's what's in the box this month.

Mitchell and Peach - Body Cream
"With English honey, organic cocoa, vitamin B5 and shea butter, this Mitchell and Peach body cream is perfect to leave you feeling as though you've taken a walk in the English countryside".
This is probably the only thing I like in the box. It smells soooo nice and the ingredients sound amazing so I'm excited to give this a try...my skin has been so so dry recently so maybe this will make it nice and smooth :).
Application - "Apply liberally after showering to leave your skin feeling soft and smelling beautiful".
Full size - £36.00 for 180ml                       Shop at - www.mitchellandpeach.com

Sleek MakeUP - Pout Polish
"Strike a stunning selfie with Pout Polish by Sleek. This tinted balm is full of nourishment, and with SPF15, almond oil, shea butter and vitamin E, it will leave your pout looking perfect".
I've received the Pout Paints from Sleek before and didn't like them as they were very "in your face" and quite messy but this doesn't seem to be as bad. I did just give it a try and it's not as noticeable which is good for me as I don't like a colour on my lips. I think I'll give this a chance and then decide if I like it or not but yeah....wasn't exactly excited to see this but don't get me wrong...the colour is gorge, I got a pinky purple colour.
Application - "A little goes a long way, so use a small amount on the edge of your finger or lip brush for the best results".
Full size - £4.49 for 10g                                Shop at - www.sleekmakeup.com

Bellápierre Cosmetics Ltd - Shimmer Powders
"This 100% pure Mica shimmering eye shadow will provide you with a long lasting vibrant colour without smearing, creasing or fading".
Not impressed with this at all. Such a waste :( Who knows.....I might have a giveaway soon and include some of the products that I don't use in it :).
Application - "This powder is the ultimate multi-use product. As well as an eye shadow, it can be mixed into blusher, nail polish or lip gloss to create your own custom make-up! Check out Bellápierre's website for further uses and application techniques".
Full size - £12.99 for 2.35g                             Shop at - www.bellepierre.co.uk

Juicy Couture - Malibu Collection
"Meet us in Malibu with Juicy Couture's Malibu Collection! This fragrance blends the spirit of carefree Cali with Glam LA and we love it!".
Okay....so these do smell reallllly good but still think it's bad that I got 2!!!
Application - "Spritz on for scent of sparkling fruit and sensuous blossoms".
Full size - £47.00 for 75ml                             Shop at - www.debenhams.com/beauty/juicy-

Dove Hair Therapy - Intensive Repair 60 Second Treatment Shot
"Now you don't have to choose between beauty and hair care with this intensive treatment! It's the perfect pick-me-up for haircare in a hurry and you can even take it on holiday to revive damaged hair from the sun".
I will use this for def as my hair is in a not so good condition so wont let this go to waste but it's still a bit meh!
Application - "Use after shampooing for 60 seconds, avoiding the roots and rinse out for beautifully soft, strong hair with a keratin boost!".
Full size - £1.49 for 15ml                   Shop at - www.sainsburys.co.uk or instore at Superdrug.

Yeah so that's what I got. Were you happy with your box or were you disappointed as well? I keep saying this every time I get a rubbish box that I'm gonna see what next months is like cause I can't bring myself to cancel! Hahaha! Oh! And another thing I wasn't happy about.....they changed their delivery service which I think is worse now! I used to get my box the day after dispatch day at around 9am every morning which was excellent service I thought but now that most people have complained they weren't receiving their boxes as quick they've now changed the mailing service to Royal Mail which delays it for me now :( Look at me getting all grumpy....better go haha! Thanks for reading dolls! xoxo

I think she looks stunning! Who stood out for you this year? xoxo

Ootn - Date night!

Hey dolls! So unfortunately it's the last day of the holidays for most people today apart from myself who went back to work today but since it was my boyfriends last day here we decided to go out for tea then to the cinema for one last time. Honestly we have totally taken advantage of him being home by going out for tea looooooads, I feel so chubby! :P As cheesy as it sounds I like to call our wee nights out our "Date Night". We had a lovely meal at one of our favourite restaurants and then went to see the new Paranormal Activity film which I thought was okay.
So yeah I thought I'd share with you what I wore. Just a simple look really, hair pinned back with a few kirby grips (bobby pins) and some eye liner and mascara. The dress is from Primark which I got in the sale for £5!!! This was a while a go though so I'm not sure if they would still have it. I love the colours in it especially the blue and orange and it also has a cute little cut out just under the chest which I think is so flattering. xoxo

Wilkinson Sword Intuition - Naturals Razor Review

Hello!! Today I thought I'd do a review on a product that I received in my December Glossy Box (to see what else I got click here) as I have been loving it!!
It's the Wilkinson Sword Intuition razor and omgggggg it's soooo good! So as it's been the party season every girl wants to look and feel their best right? So of course I was going to shave my legs which I don't really like doing to be honest but lucky for me, my boyfriend lives in Edinburgh and I don't so we only see each other at the weekends so I don't really have a reason to shave my legs during the week! Haha! Is this TMI? Anyways...I was really excited to try out this razor as I don't normally buy good razor blades. This razor leaves my legs feeling soooooooooooo smooth! As you can see from the 3rd pic above that it's got soap around the blade so when you start to shave your legs you don't feel a thing other than how smooth it feels and all soapy! I'm not the best at describing things so I apologise if this is a rubbish review! I would totally recommend this razor as it's really not that expensive. It's only £6.49 and I've seen this in Tesco. I'm not sure how much the replaceable blades cost but I imagine they wouldn't cost that much.
I am going to continue using this as my legs have never felt smoother and also it never misses any hair which can be so annoying when you come out the shower to find you've missed a long strip of hair right down your leg haha!
If any of you guys have tried this razor out then I'd love to know what you thought of it so drop me a comment and tell me :) Have a nice day, peace out xoxo

Magazine Bargain Of The Month #2

Hey everyone, hope you're all having a good week so far! I most certainly am as I am off work today and off to see the amazing Diversity tonight in Glasgow woohoo!! Anyway that's not what this post is about! I have decided to do a "Magazine Bargain Of The Month" post every month as I think these are so fun to do and everyone loves getting a bargain don't you? So if you haven't seen my last post about the bargains I got in last months then you can click here if you'd like to see that. So what I'll be doing is looking at the magazines every month to see what beauty products you can get for cheap prices!

This months is the January edition which is weird cause I didn't know magazines do a month in advance? So this is the Cosmopolitan magazine with the lovely Ellie Golden on the front page and this month you actually get the same nail polish you could've got in the December edition so I'm quite chuffed as I put it back last time and got Glamour magazine instead. For a full size Orly nail polish it retails at about £10.00 which is so expensive in my opinion but this a mini sized one which costs normally about £5.00 and the magazine cost me £3.60. It's called "Hair Band" which is a gorgeous gold glitter which is perfect for the Christmas period! There's 4 colours to choose from but I liked this one the most!

What do you think about me doing these posts? Do you like seeing what's on offer every month in magazines? Let me know :) xoxo

Such a relief!

Ugh don't you just love that feeling of letting your hair down after it's been up in a high pony alllllll day! It feels soooo good!......Not sure why I'm writing a post about this but just wanted to to express how amazing my head feels right now haha! (Excuse the Tesco uniform :P)
Do you feel the same after letting your hair down? xoxo

Outfit of the day

So it's Friday again woohoo! And since every other day of the week I basically live in my work uniform I've decided that every Friday I'm going to do an ootd post since it's my day off and I get to wear my own clothes (sad I know). So yeah....here's my outfit for today. Nothing fancy just a simple black crop top with a little floral skirt I found in the sale in Newlook. I think it's so cute and the colours are so appropriate for this time of year :).

Black crop top - Republic £10.00
Floral Skirt - Newlook in the sale at £4.00!!

October Glossy Box

So it's that time of the month again (not that kind haha) where that gorgeous little pink box everyone can't wait to get has arrived! Yep it's my Glossybox! Every month I get so excited to get my box but I have to say this month I am soooooo disappointed with it :( I received a free box since I had enough glossy dots so I didn't have to pay. If you don't know what glossy dots are they are points you get when you complete surveys about products you have received in the past. So yeah, because it was free I was even more excited but I just think this box is rubbish! For me personally anyway. I just watched a video on YouTube of someone doing an unboxing of their box and they didn't like it either. Also!!! They got a free mini bar of chocolate in theirs and I never!! I love chocolate! Anyway I'm gonna stop rambling on and continue with writing about each product but I will say I've not tried most of these out just simply because I probably wont use them. Enjoy :)

How I styled my pug dress

Hey! In one of my last posts I showed you my newest purchase which was the GORGE pug dress from Asos and I said I would post how I would style it. I've chosen to just keep it simple but it looks so nice! I've just paired it with a simple pair of black tights and my cute ankle boots which I also featured in a previous post here. I then finished off the look with my leather jacket which I think goes so well with the whole outfit. To see how I've style my leather jacket before click here.

Leather Jacket - Topshop £50.00
Pug Skater Dress - Asos £25.00
Black Ankle Boots - Newlook £19.99

Miley's latest outfit

I don't know about you but I am loving the two-piece outfit Miley wore to the Bangerz Launch Party last night. I think it's such a cute and simple outfit yet it's so fashionable! I love the colour and how it looks on her and just everything about it really. I'm still not quite sure what my thoughts are on her shaving her GORGEOUS long hair off but I'm sure I'll come round to liking it. It also doesn't look that great in these pictures but I suppose I'm really only posting about her outfit. What do you think about this outfit? It's a lot nicer than some of her recent ones I can say that for sure anyway :).

Tartan Dress

Helloooo! I just got back from Edinburgh today and done a little shopping while I was there ( I know how naughty of me) and wanted to share with you this amazing little dress I came across. I got this from Internationale where I don't normally shop to be honest but as I was passing it caught my eye so I went in and tried it on. I absolutely love it! I think it fits so well and it's actually a really good thick material so it will last quite a while. I'm going out for a meal tonight so I'm gonna wear it to that.

Tartan dress - Internationale £16.99
I then started to think about what I would wear on my feet with the dress and thought a cute little pair of boots would go nice with it and for a while now I've been wanting a little pair of black ankle boots so I went into Newlook and came across these. They are so comfy and not expensive at all so grabbed them as they were the only pair left in my size :D

Black ankle boots - Newlook £19.99

So this months theme was the London edition and I was so excited when I found out because the box looks amazing! I'll go through each product I got individually and write a bit about each one from what our leaflet tells us about them and how to apply :)

Here's a pic of what the box looks like with all products inside! So the first product is....

Curly Sue

Hair done for tonight! Curled it by using the Treseme Curling Wand. It's an amazing wand and take seconds to heat up! Typical selfie :P

Outfit Of The Day

It's been a long time since I've wore leggings and since it's now coming in to Autumn I thought I'd throw some on today. Paired them with a simple leopard print top and a knitted cardigan both from Primark. This cardigan is so cosy and perfect for this time of year. Oh! I just had a thought.....I can start wearing my UGG boots again yey!!
Leopard print top - Primark
Knitted cardigan - Primark £12
Black leggings - Forever21
Sorry I can't remember how much the top or leggings were :(
