Review: Garnier Intensive Moisturising Cream

I was in need of a new moisturiser as I ran out of my Nivea one which I love! I need to moisturise everyday as my skin feels so dry after being in the shower. I normally stick to the same moisturiser for my face but I fancied a change.
As always, I was having a wander around BnM seeing what bargains I could find when I came across this moisturiser by Garnier which is the intense care moisturiser for dry and normal skin. It stood out to me because of course it's pink and in a tub rather than a tube which I prefer, and it was only 99p!
As I was needing a new moisturiser anyway I thought I'd get it and give it a go and for the sake of 99p I wasn't at all bothered if it wasn't that great.
I really like this. I love the smell of it and I love how soft it leaves my skin feeling. I also like how you can use it on your body and hands. I've started to moisturise my hands more often so this is perfect for it. Have you tried this?

Pros:
  • It's in a tub rather than a tube so easy to get the product out of packaging.
  • Smell is lovely.
  • Leaves skin feeling smooth.
  • Very cheap!
I can't think of any cons :D

Review: Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

Hello my lovelies! Todays post is another review but don't worry, it's a positive one this time! I'm happy to finally try something that nearly every beauty blogger has raved on and on about and actually like it myself.
I'm not a big make-up wearer but recently I have been wearing more eye make-up on a daily basis so I thought I would give the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water a try as it was on offer in Tesco.
I love how easy it is to use. All you need is a cotton pad and simply pour a small amount on to it and then run your make-up off. It works really well and is inexpensive. It's 400ml and says it should give you 200 uses of it but this will last a long time for me as I don't need to use a lot of product since I don't have a face full of make-up.
After I used it I did feel it left my eyes feeling really dry and sticky even but I guess it's just the same as after you've washed your face with water, it can feel quite dry. I also wish it had a slight scent to it.
I can't compare this to other cleansing waters simply because I haven't tried any other brands but I'm chuffed with this one!

Pros:
  • Removes make-up really well
  • Affordable
  • 400ml is a lot of product.
Cons:
  • Leaves face dry/sticky
  • Unscented

Review: Garnier Ultimate Blends Shampoo & Conditioner

Unfortunately todays review is (like my last review) not a very good one :(. I have seen a few bloggers rave about how good the new Ultimate Blends shampoo and conditioner by Garnier are and so when I saw it was half price in Tesco at only £1.94 per bottle I gave in a bought it in the coconut oil & cocoa butter. As you all know I love anything with a cocoa butter scent, so I had really high hopes for this.
As you can see from the picture I haven't used it a lot. Only once actually. I hated this. Hated it. Well actually I'll be a bit more fair...I hated the conditioner. The shampoo was ok. The smell of it is probably the only thing I like about it and even at that I feel for a shampoo and conditioner the scent could do with being a bit more powerful.
For the conditioner I felt it was so runny when poured on to my hand and I felt it didn't stick to my hair if that makes sense? Like it just fell off as soon as I applied it to my hair. It also never made my hair feel soft after rinsing what was left of it out. You know after you've rinsed out conditioner your hair feels soooooo soft and smooth? Well this didn't do that. So much so I applied it a second time and again it didn't do much at all.
My hair was still tuggy when I was brushing it, it actually felt like I hadn't used any conditioner at all.
I'm sorry to sound like a total moan but I was very disappointed. Using it once is enough and I can't bring myself to use the conditioner again. I'll keep them both though incase I run out of my other shampoo but for now it's back in the cupboard it goes.

Pros:
  • Smells good
Cons:
  • Expensive (when not on offer)
  • Conditioner didn't leave my hair feeling smooth/soft
  • Doesn't have a good consistency.

May Glossy Box 2014 - 50 Years Of Superdrug

Hey! If you're wondering what happened to my April glossy box post well I was a noob and lost my purse when I was on a night out so when the payment was due for that month I hadn't got my new bank card through so didn't have a method of payment to pay for it so I cancelled my subscription with glossybox. I told myself that I wasn't going to subscribe again since I've moved in with my boyfriend and now have bills to pay for but I couldn't resist!! Hahaha! So yeah, I subscribed again and now it's gone up to £13.95 a month which was a bit of a bummer but never mind.
I was excited to see that this month they were collaborating with someone, and that someone just happened to be Superdrug! In my last post I wrote about Superdrug being 50 years old and they had some products that were brought out specifically for it.
I'm not overly excited about the contents in my box as I received 2 make up items and I don't wear make up which makes me think they don't actually pay attention to the beauty profile they get you to fill out. However, there are 4 full sizes, 1 sample sized and 2 bonus samples. Anyways....here's what I got :)

Blowpro - After blow strong hold finishing spray
"Don't let the English weather make your hair-don't with blowpro's strong hold finishing spray. It conditions while it sets to provide you with a super woman-esque super-hold on your hair."
I'm quite excited about this one actually so can't wait to try this! This is a sample size.
Application - "Keeping the can 6-8 inches away from your hair, spray evenly acorss your style keeping the can in constant motion."

B. Complete Long-lasting Nail Polish
"B.Complete provides intense colour with a high shine finish and has a wide brush providing a smooth and quick professional finish."
Was very happy to see a nail polish in the box as I love nail polish but this colour has probably got to be the worst colour ever! I wont use this! I've already received one of these nail polishes and it was in a great pink colour and I loved it.
Application - "Apply two coats of your favourite colour over B. First Base Coat. Allow time to dry between each coat."
Full size - £4.99 for 8ml                                     Shop at - www.superdrug.com

Scholl - Velvet Smooth Overnight Mask
"This night mask hydrates for up to 24 hours to give you soft beautiful feet while you sleep."
Meh....I might use this :P

I Love Cosmetics - Strawberries & Milkshake Shinner & Shine Lip Gloss
"Feel scrumptious with a burst of fresh strawberries and smooth yummy milkshake."
Wont use this as I don't like lip glosses! It does smell amazing though!
Application - "Smooth on to add a shimmery summer look to your lips."

Collection - Bronze Glow Mosaic
"Get an all-year round natural-looking tan with a sweep of Bronze Glow Mosaic. Add a sunkissed shimmer of colour to highlight the face and body and add contouring to cheeks and collar bones."
Will not use this such a waste :(
Application - "After applying your foundation base, sweep a bronzing brush over the powder and tap the excess on the back of your hand. Sweep the bronzer over the cheekbones, forehead, nose and chin for a natural finish."
Full size - £2.99                                                    Shop at - www.superdrug.com

Garnier - Oil Beauty Lotion
"Infused with argan, macademia, almond and rose oil the Oil Beauty Lotion helps replenish the skin with moisture and reinforce its barrier function to prevent it from feeling dry, leaving your skin feeling softer and silky-smooth."
This sounds really good so will def try this out although it's only a foil packet which will only last one try.

Ghost Fragances - Eclipse
"Capturing the warm energy of the sun, Ghost Eclipse evokes feelings of carefree abandon. Get lost in the moment and lift our spirits with this intoxicating and addictive fruity-floral fragrance."
This smells sooooo nice! I love Ghost perfumes!
