Review: Girl Online by Zoe Sugg

I know I'm a bit late for jumping on the band wagon but I had to wait until Christmas to receive my copy of Girl Online. I finished the book a while a go but have just got round to finding the time to write my thoughts on the novel.

Zoella Beauty

                          

You will all know by now (unless you've been living under a rock) that beauty blogger/vlogger Zoella launched her knew beauty products range last week and everyone has fallen in love with them.

I love Zoella and could not wait to get my hands on some of the products from her range. I went into Superdrug today and got my hands on the "Soak Opera" shower gel (£5.00), "Creamy Madly Dreamy" body lotion (£5.00) and "Blistful Mistful" body mist (£8.00).

Let me just say....the scent of these products are gorgeous, Zoe did so well at picking a scent that I am sure everyone will die for and also the packaging is soooooo nice!! There are 8 products all together and I chose these 3 because I felt I would use these the most and also I couldn't afford to get everything in the range at the moment so felt these were the best ones to choose. 

I think the price for the products are reasonable and not too expensive.

I cannot wait to use these in the morning during and after my shower! Let me know if you have tried any of the products from her gorgeous range.

Blogger Tips

                 

Hey sexy ladies.....and boys? So I think it's got to a point now where I have been blogging for a while and I've learnt a few things on the way. I am in no way an expert at blogging and I am still learning new things but I wanted to share some tips that I have found helpful and also things that I look for when looking at other blogs. I hope these will be helpful to some of you and if not....then thanks for reading anyways :).

1. Layout - For me when I click to go on to someones blog the one thing I expect is a nice neat and tidy layout. If it's cluttered and messy it makes me click off straight away. A plain background is always good too and by plain I don't mean it has to be white, I just mean not a tiled background where there's a picture and it's been multiplied lots! I know not everyone can afford to pay to get their perfect dream layout I can't either but I like to keep mine simple.
2. Font - A good font for your text is always good. Something that is easy to read and also a good size of font. Anything too small is hard to read for some people and again that might put them off. I always go for "Normal" which I feel is a good size as it's readable but also not too big.
3. Posts - I like to have my whole post visible on my page and not have part of it on show then a "read more" button....it might just be because I don't know how to do it haha! I understand it's a good way to get your post views up as the reader has to click on the link to see the whole post but for some reason it kind of puts me off. 
4. Spamming - Don't be the person who only comments on people's posts saying "I followed you follow me back" or "follow for follow?". It's just annoying and it's not gonna get you anywhere. You want your followers to actually be people who want to read your blog and enjoy what you write yeah?
5. Your followers - Reply to comments on your posts and create a relationship with your readers. I do this all the time and I think it's just nice you know? It's always nice to get a reply when I've commented on someone else's post :)
6. Social media - Join other social media sites such as twitter, facebook, instagram and link them on your blog. This is a great way to share your posts and communicate with other bloggers and also find other blogs. Bloglovin is also a great way to find other bloggers! Join chats on twitter such as #bbloggers, #fbloggers, #fblchat, #lbloggers.
7. Links - When referring to another post you have written put a link somewhere in the sentence which takes your reader to that post if they are interested in reading it. Also make sure the link opens in another tab....I really don't like when I'm reading an interesting post and I click on a link to something else and it refreshes the tab I'm already in....I like it to open in a new tab so that it's ready for me to look at once I've finished reading the current post.

TAG - Blog Your Heart Out

Hello! Hope your Monday has been a good one! The gorgeous Corrie over at corriearnold.blogspot.co.uk has tagged me in the "Blog your heart out" tag so here I go :).

1. Who/what encouraged you to start blogging?

For the past 5 years I have been a big fan of Shaytards on YouTube which then has lead me to watching videos by beauty gurus such as Zoella, ThatsHeart, Tanya Burr etc. Since watching these amazing people I have taken a great interest in the YouTube world but I don't have the confidence to make videos. I came across Tumblr one day and started posting pictures and things that I found interesting. I loved doing this but still didn't find it was the right place to be for a more serious blog. This is when a friend of mine introduced me to Blogger and Bloglovin and here I am today :).

2. How did you choose what topics to blog about?

I obviously try to choose things to blog about which I think people would like to read about but of course I wanted to make sure it was something that I would want to write about. I do like the beauty side to it but since I don't wear make up and wouldn't know the first thing about it I try to stick to more nail polish and other beauty related things. I just try to blog about anything really and try to look at it from my point of view - would I want to read this? Does that make sense?

3. What is something most people don't know about me?

This is actually a hard question because I can't think of anything :( I guess being a blogger is one of them? I've not really told my friends and family about me being a blogger apart from my boyfriend. I'm not sure why I haven't, maybe because I don't want them reading it and thinking I'm a noob (haha) however my boyfriend is so supportive of it and I love that!

4. What three words describe your style?

Ermm again I'm not too sure....trendy, quirky annnnnnnd girly? haha I'm sorry I'm so bad at this!

5. What do you love to do when you are not blogging?

I love to dance! I have done since I was very young. I love spending time with my friends and boyfriend. Going to the cinema is also a fave of mine!
